Youth group is a time for students around the area to get together for fun, fellowship and diving into the Word of God together! Our goal as a youth group is that our students become rooted in their relationship with God through our teaching and studying God’s Word together. Our youth group theme this year is making the Hand, Heart and Hand connection with our faith to our daily life. It is so easy for us to compartmentalize our faith and other areas of our life into little boxes. Our faith is not meant to be kept in boxes that we only unpack on Sunday’s or Wednesday’s. God desires to be involved in all areas of our life. We hope that through out this year our students learn the importance of allowing God to transform their hearts and invite him into all areas of their life.
Jr. and Sr. High Youth Groups meet every Wednesday evening during the school year.
Jr. High Youth Group – 6:30-7:30 pm
Sr. High Youth Group – 7:45-9:00 pm

High School Bible Study
High school bible study meets every Sunday evening at 6:30 pm at our Youth Pastors house.
Our goal is that our high school students grow in their relationship with Christ through intentionally studying the word together. We are doing a pop-culture bible study this year using popular movies! Our movies focus on issues teens are faced with daily. Our goal is to talk about the tough stuff life throws at us and to help our students seek God in all areas of their life.
7th and 8th Grade Confirmation
7th & 8th Grade Confirmation meets every Sunday from 10:15-11:05 am during the school year.
Our confirmation program at First Church is a two year program for our students to learn and grow in their relationship with Christ. During confirmation our students will learn about our faith in Jesus Christ, the church, and what it means to have a personal realtionship with Christ daily.
Our 7th grade students spend an entire year reading through the bible and studying the specific stories that shape our knoweledge and understanding of who God is and how he works in our lives.
Our 8th grade students take the things they learned from the previous year in confirmation and work towards applying it to their own lives. By the end of their two years in Confirmation, we hope our students develop a personal realtionship with Jesus Christ and figure out how to live out thier faith everyday.
Summer 2018 Mission Trip
We are going to Chicago July 8-13 for our summer mission trip. Our high school students will be doing work projects and working with the Humboldt Park neighborhood. We still have plenty of room for more people to come on the trip with us! If you are interested in signing up, contact Tory Breitigan.
