Youth Ministry

Youth Group

Family YG Theme

Youth group is a time for students around the area to get together for fun, fellowship and diving into the Word of God together!

Each week as a Youth Ministry at First Church we seek to provide a fun, safe place for all students to become rooted in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to grow in their faith through community, and to challenge each other to live as disciples of Christ.

Our youth group theme this year is Family! Family helps to form our identity, help us grow as individuals, and pushes to show Christ like love every single day.  As a believers we all belong to the family of God. 1 Corinthians 12:27 says, “You are all the body of Christ each of you is a part of it!” This year we want our students to join our family. Our goal this year is to give our students the opportunity to grow in their faith in Christ by being a part of a family that loves, supports and cares for them every day.

Jr. and Sr. High Youth Groups meet every Wednesday evening during the school year.

Jr. High Youth Group – 6:30-7:30 pm

Sr. High Youth Group – 7:45-9:00 pm

 High School Bible Study

Ephesians

Our high school students will be doing a 6-week study on the book of Ephesians. We will be digging into the book of Ephesians to discover our identity in Christ and how to live out of the identity we have in Him! Bible study meets every Sunday from 4:30-6:00 pm in Dave and Judy Bambauer’s basement. All high school students are welcome!

Please contact Tory for more information on this study.

7th and 8th Grade Confirmation

7th & 8th Grade Confirmation meets every Sunday from 10:15-11:15 am during the school year.

Our confirmation program at First Church is a two year program for our students to learn and grow in their relationship with Christ.  During confirmation our students will learn about our faith in Jesus Christ, the church, and what it means to have a personal relationship with Christ daily.

Our 7th grade students spend an entire year reading through the bible and studying the specific stories that shape our knowledge and understanding of who God is and how he works in our lives.

Our 8th grade students take the things they learned from the previous year in confirmation and work towards applying  it to their own lives. By the end of their two years in Confirmation, we hope our students develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and feel confident in living out their faith everyday.
