As they fill up the offensive line, sideline, and drum line, your players, cheerleaders, and band members will realize God has given them His ultimate playbook. He wants them to join His team, train hard, celebrate salvation, and encourage one another. Get in the spirit today with Game On VBS.

Sermon Series: The Gospel According to Jonah

New Sermon Series – February 18 to March 18, 2018

During the Lenten season, we will explore the book of Jonah together.

Jonah is so much more than a kids Sunday school story. It is more than the story of a man in the belly of a big fish. In Jonah, we see God’s faithfulness toward an unfaithful prophet. We see God’s mercy on full display, both toward Jonah and the people of Nineveh.

Through Jonah, we will explore familiar Lenten themes such as repentance, mercy, and calling, and how they are ultimately fulfilled in Jesus at the cross.

Join us each Sunday morning during Lent as we explore the Gospel according to Jonah.

First Church of New Knoxville is located at 200 W. Bremen St., New Knoxville, Ohio.  Morning Worship Service is at 9:00 with Sunday School for youth and adults at 10:15 am.  You can also listen to the worship service re-broadcast on T-102 FM at 10:15 am each Sunday.

Wonderful Wednesday’s at First Church

First Church of New Knoxville invites your family to join us for Wonderful Wednesdays!

Each Wednesday evening from February 21 to March 21, 2018

What are Wonderful Wednesdays ?

Life is busy – homework, sports practices, dinner, etc….  it all vies for our time.  Wonderful Wednesday is a way for the whole family to spend time together one day a week during Lent and not have to worry about any of those things.

Our trained volunteers walk with the children directly from NK School to First Church of New Knoxville where they get a snack and a chance to burn off some energy with games and fun.  Then it’s over to the church to get homework done with the guidance of our homework helpers, crafts and some music.

At 5:45 pm parents and the entire community are invited to join us for dinner and a short devotional.

By 7:00 pm you have the rest of the evening to spend together as a family.  Homework and dinner are done!

Your child does NOT have to attend NK school to participate!  You may drop them off after school for the program also.  Click the link below to download the form and return it to First Church of New Knoxville, PO Box 339, New Knoxville or scan and email it to firstchurchnk@nktleco.net

Pray Like Jesus

First Church of New Knoxville Winter Sermon Series – December 31 – February 11

Most Christians would agree that prayer is important to the Christian life. Yet many of us struggle to have a fulfilling, effective prayer life.

We are too busy, we get distracted easily, we do not believe our prayers make a difference, or we simply do not know how to pray.

We will begin 2018 by taking an in-depth look at how Jesus taught his disciples to pray. He gave them a model for prayer that we know today as the Lord’s Prayer. This is more than just a prayer that should be memorized and recited. It gives us a pattern to follow for all our prayers.

Join us as we learn to pray like Jesus, and commit to make 2018 a year of prayer.

First Church is located at 200 W. Bremen St. in New Knoxville, Ohio.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at First Church

Christmas Eve Services – We will have two services on Sunday, December 24.

At 9 am we will wrap up the Advent series with Simeon’s Song.

At 7:30 pm we will share in the traditional Christmas Eve candlelight service.

Invite your friends and neighbors to join us for either or both services as we celebrate together the arrival of the Newborn King!

First Church of New Knoxville is located at 200 W. Bremen St. in New Knoxville, OH  45871

Advent Sermon Series – December 3-24

Join us for Advent at First Church while we explore the significance of Christ’s birth through the words of those who witnessed it. In the first two chapters of Luke’s Gospel, we encounter four songs of praise by four different people: Mary, Zechariah, the angels, and Simeon. Each one is responding to the good news of Jesus’ birth. We will gain insight into the importance of the incarnation and what it means for God’s people. All this will lead us to respond to God’s grace, love, and mercy. We will join together to worship Christ, the newborn King!
