Lent Sermon Series – The cross, and nothing but the cross, can save us.
Lent and Easter are opportunities to reorient ourselves on the cross of Christ. The good news of the Gospel is that Jesus saves us. We can’t save ourselves. But that doesn’t mean we don’t try.
In his letter to the Galatians, Paul teaches us that nothing, not even our good works, can save us. Nothing, that is, but the cross. What we are unable to do for ourselves, God did for us in Christ.
