Winter Sermon Series – Rules to Live By

Join us over the next ten weeks (Dec. 30 – March 3) as we discover how the Ten Commandments help us relate to God and to each other.

One day, an expert in the law asked Jesus which is the greatest commandment. Famously, Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all you heart… [and] love your neighbor as yourself.” These commands were not new. Both the command to love God and love neighbor find their origin in the Old Testament law. In fact, the Ten Commandments, the pinnacle of the law, are basically a detailed explanation of how to fulfill these two commandments. The first four describe how we are to relate to God, and the last six deal with our relationship with others. The commandments provide a framework for how to relate rightly to God and others, and our relationships flourish when we learn to live within these parameters.

First Church is located at 200 W. Bremen St. in New Knoxville, Ohio.  Sunday worship begins at 9:00 am.  You can also listen to the re-broadcast on T-102 FM at 10:15 am.
