The season of Advent serves two purposes. On the one hand, Advent, which means “arrival”, reminds us of the events surrounding Jesus birth more than 2,000 years ago. On the other hand, it points us to Jesus’ second advent. This is the day when Christ will return and establish the Kingdom of God in the new heavens and new earth. Taken as a whole, Advent teaches us about God’s love and the good news of a savior so that we will be ready when he returns.
Our Advent sermon series will encourage us to prepare the way for Christ in our own hearts and prepare the way for Christ to have an impact in our communities and world. Like John the Baptist, we too can share the good news and point people to Christ.
Join us on Sunday’s at First Church of New Knoxville at 9:00 am or listen on T-102 FM at 10:15 am
